On July 27, the reporter came to the construction site of the "City Gate" project of the fourth bureau of China Railway in the future city, and saw a steel structure overpass across Yingui Avenue, connecting the four towers of the "City Gate". "Our bridge arc process control requirements are very high, the main body of the bridge is shipped over after processing in Chengdu, now we mainly do some welding work, later do railing installation and bridge deck decoration work." Wang Yong, the person in charge of the construction site, told reporters that due to the high requirements for weather conditions in the welding work, it was rainy in Kaili some time ago and the welding work could not be carried out, so it delayed a lot of construction period.

It is understood that the pedestrian bridge is designed as a butterfly wing structure, with a deck width of 5 meters, a maximum length of 72 meters, a pavement height of 8.5 meters, and a maximum height of 12 meters, which is an aerial corridor connecting the four towers of the "City Gate". In order to ensure the accuracy of the arc, all blanking is formed at one time by computer numerical control.

"The design of 'City Gate' is inspired by butterflies, and when viewed from above, the whole project looks like a butterfly flapping its wings, and the sky bridge connecting the building is like the body of a butterfly." Cheng Enlai, secretary of the Kaili Future City Project of the Fourth Bureau of China Railway, said.

At the same time, in order to facilitate pedestrians to get on the flyover from the road, escalators are also designed on both sides of the overpass, which is very user-friendly.
