Sichuan steel structure performance real load inspection and dynamic measurement

1. For large and complex steel structure systems, in-situ non-destructive real load inspection can be carried out to directly test the structural performance. The actual load test of the structural properties can be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Annex H of this standard. The loading coefficient and judgment principle can be determined in accordance with the provisions of Appendix H.2, and can also be adjusted appropriately according to the specific situation.

2. When there is doubt about the bearing capacity of the structure or component, a prototype or full-scale model load test can be carried out. Tests should be commissioned to specialized agencies with sufficient equipment capacity. Before the test, a detailed test plan should be formulated, including the purpose of the test, the selection or production of the specimen, the loading device, the measurement point layout and the test instrument, the loading step and the evaluation method of the test results. The test protocol may be developed in accordance with Annex H and shall be subject to the consent of all parties concerned prior to the test.

3 For large-scale important and new steel structure systems, it is advisable to carry out actual structural dynamic tests to determine dynamic parameters such as structural self-vibration cycle. The structural dynamic test should comply with the provisions of Annex E of this standard.

4. The stress of steel structure members can be detected according to the actual conditions by selecting resistance strain gauges or other effective methods.
