In 2014, China's steel structure output was 42 million tons (output value of 510 billion yuan), more than the total output of Europe, the United States, Japan and Australia. In housing construction, steel structures in developed countries account for 22%~43%, while China accounts for about 5%; In the bridge structure, steel bridges in the United States account for 33%, Japan accounts for 41%, and China accounts for about 1%. "As a sustainable structural form, steel structure has a lot of room for development. Zhou Xuhong said.

China Steel Structure has the industry, technology and talent base to go overseas, has accumulated rich experience in construction technology and technology, and has a group of high-level professional and technical personnel and management talents. At the same time, China's steel structure has also accumulated certain overseas market development experience, and the overseas market has expanded from Southeast Asia to Europe and the United States. A group of leading enterprises have been prepared in terms of technology, talent and layout, carried out foreign certification and licensing work, and set up overseas business departments and foreign branches. However, the international market share of China's steel structure is not high, which is not commensurate with the status of China's steel structure manufacturing power.

Zhou Xuhong believes that the huge overseas demand has brought market opportunities.

At present, China's large-scale steel structure enterprises have carried out strategic layout in both domestic and foreign markets. For example, CSCEC has built a number of landmark buildings in the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Algeria, Australia and other countries and regions; China Jingye Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. undertook the construction of steel structure projects in Singapore; CCCC Second Highway Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. participated in 9 overseas steel bridge projects, mainly distributed in Southeast Asia and Africa; China Railway Shanqiao Group Co., Ltd. has 12 overseas steel bridge construction projects, distributed in more than a dozen countries such as the United States, Germany, and Canada.

In 2014, the orders of large steel structure enterprises abroad increased significantly. For example, Baosteel Steel received orders for steel structure engineering for two projects in the US National Oil Well; Hangxiao Steel won the bid for the Mongolian steel structure residential project, with a contract amount of 2.6 billion yuan; Southeast Network Frame signed a contract of 1 billion yuan with the Venezuelan government; Beijing Duowei United Group signed a new plate project with the Venezuelan government with a contract amount of 297 million US dollars.
