Mao Weiming said that the original industrial route and capacity standards have basically completed the historical task in recent years. On this basis, China will implement stricter standards for environmental protection, energy consumption, and safety implementation, and increase penalties for violations. In addition, China will accelerate the implementation of mergers and reorganization, support advantageous enterprises to merge and eliminate backward production capacity, increase industrial concentration, and accelerate advantageous industries, advantageous enterprises and outstanding entrepreneurs to play a greater role in market allocation and resource decisiveness.

It is understood that the backward production lines of 19 industries listed in the 2013 announcement have been shut down.
